Ok, this is the third day of radiation for my hip pan and I am pleasantly surprised. It looks as if it is working…
I am a child of the 60’s, or at least, graduated from high school in 1965 and remember a lot of radiation horror stories. So, I walked into this with a bunch of concern, what was this going to do to me?
My wife was sick this morning (upset stomach, headache and just not well) so to get to treatment (20 miles away), I drove. Did not have any problem but don’t think I could have done it three days ago.
My daughter (a nurse) asked me when it was suggested late last week if I would take the treatment. I told her that I am open to anything until I find that it is not working. This appears to be working to we will be continuing.
The only question that I have now is why did I not start earlier? The only thing that I say is that I do not remember this being suggested.
From my point of view, if it is suggested to you, take it. In the last few years it has become very targeted. It is now targeted using 3-d lasers and can be pinpointed to within 1 millimeter and no longer a shotgun approach.
From my experience (and my experience only), this works.
